District Receives 2012 Clean Water Indiana Grant 

The Martin County SWCD has received word that the District has been awarded one of the 2012 Clean Water Indiana (CWI) Grants.  Martin, Orange, Lawrence and Washington counties partnered on the grant and will split the $20,000 grant over the next two years.  The grant will be used for a cost share cover crop program and forestry education.  Look for more details in 2012.

What We Are About:

The SWCD's function is to provide information about soil, water and related natural resource conservation; identify and prioritize local soil and water resource conserns; and connect land users to sources of educational, technical and financial assistance to implement conservation practices and technologies.
